Fire rising to heaven: open community gathered around shared aims.
Flame ascends toward the sky it resembles — the image of fellowship in the open. This hexagram concerns association built on shared purpose rather than private advantage: the clan in the open field, visible to all. Its counsel is transparency — state the aim plainly, welcome those who share it, and keep factions from forming in corners. What is organised around daylight can cross great rivers together; what is organised in corners cannot.
