Enthusiasm
Thunder breaking out of the earth: energy that moves people along its path.
Thunder rises from the ground and the whole field stirs — the image of enthusiasm as a mobilising force. This hexagram concerns momentum that runs along the line of least resistance, the way music moves a room. Its counsel is to harness the lift honestly: direct shared excitement toward real work, install helpers while goodwill is high, and distrust any thrill that requires no effort from anyone. Enthusiasm is fuel, not a destination.
