Splitting Apart
The mountain worn to its last ridge: a structure completing its decline.
Five yin lines rise beneath one remaining yang — an old structure eroding toward its base. Splitting Apart is a weighty hexagram, and its work is acceptance without panic: something has finished its cycle, and propping it up spends what the next cycle needs. The counsel is quiet conservation — do not launch, do not force, protect the ripe fruit at the top, and let the decline complete. The same ridge line, in spring, is where the new growth starts.
On wealth
Conserve rather than commit: let a depleting arrangement wind down and keep seed resources out of it.
