The Taming Power of the Great
The mountain storing heaven’s force: great energy held, charged and directed.
The mountain contains the sky’s whole strength — power banked like a charged reservoir. This hexagram concerns great capacity under deliberate restraint: talent, resources or drive held back not from timidity but for accumulation. Its counsel is daily self-cultivation on the old models — study what the masters did, strengthen the character that will steer the release. Force stored under discipline emerges later with a momentum nothing improvised can match.
