Preponderance of the Great
The ridgepole bending: a load extraordinary enough to demand extraordinary action.
The lake rises over the trees; the ridgepole sags — weight at the structure’s centre exceeding its design. Preponderance of the Great names a genuinely exceptional load: a transition, obligation or opportunity too big for ordinary procedure. Its counsel is extraordinary but composed action — reinforce the centre, shed what can be shed, and if the moment demands standing alone, stand alone without fear. Exceptional times are crossed by decisive gentleness, not panic.
On wealth
The current load justifies restructuring: lighten central obligations deliberately before they choose their own moment.
