The Clinging
Fire doubled: radiance that endures by holding to what feeds it.
Flame above flame — light in both places, the hexagram of luminous dependence. Fire has no form of its own; it persists by clinging to what nourishes it, and that is presented as wisdom rather than weakness. The counsel is conscious attachment: know what your brightness depends on — practices, people, sources — and hold to them with care. Brilliance that honours its fuel burns twice; brilliance that forgets it burns out.
