Hexagram Thirty-Nine

Obstruction
Water on the mountain pass: the obstacle that redirects rather than refuses.
A dangerous stream crosses the mountain path — the way ahead genuinely blocked. Obstruction carries weight, and also a precise instruction: the block is information, not verdict. The counsel is threefold — stop pushing the blocked direction, turn inward and ask what in your own approach contributes, and seek the helpers and the southwest, the easier ground. Obstacles met this way become the reason the eventual route was better than the planned one.
