Youthful Folly
The spring at the mountain’s foot: inexperience that can be taught.
Water emerging below the mountain: the young stream that does not yet know its course. Youthful Folly is the hexagram of the beginner’s mind and its blind spots. Its counsel runs both ways — if you are learning, seek the teacher and ask properly; if you are teaching, answer sincerity but not idle testing. Inexperience is not a flaw here; refusing to know it would be. Fill the gaps deliberately.

Before committing money, close the knowledge gap: pay for good counsel sooner rather than tuition to mistakes later.
