The Arousing
Thunder doubled: the shock that startles first, then instructs.
Thunder rolls over thunder — shock arriving in waves. The Arousing describes the jolt that upends composure: sudden news, reversal, the event nobody scheduled. The old image is exact: the shock comes, everyone cries out, and the mature response follows — laughing words after, the sacrificial spoon never dropped. Its counsel is to let shock become review rather than panic: examine yourself, correct what it exposed, and keep your hands steady on what matters.
