The flying bird should not climb toward the heights but bring its message low — the image of this hexagram. Preponderance of the Small marks a season when great undertakings overreach and small ones excel: conscientiousness in detail, extra care in conduct, modest expenditure, thorough grief and thorough courtesy. Its counsel is precision at ground level — keep close to the mountain, land the small things perfectly, and let scale wait for its own weather.
