The Taming Power of the Small
Wind restraining heaven: small influences holding great force briefly in check.
A gentle wind holds back the whole sky — for a while. This hexagram describes a season when only small adjustments are available: the large breakthrough is not yet possible, and finesse must do the work of force. Its counsel is refinement in miniature — improve details, soften approaches, accumulate minor credits. Dense clouds, no rain yet, says the old text: the release comes later, and the small work done now shapes it.

Expect incremental gains rather than windfalls: polish the small levers while the larger position matures.
